Mike Mershimer

Over the past 25 years, Mike has designed, managed, and provided strategies which solve problems for worldwide #foodservice, #franchise and #retail brands including Baskin-Robbins, Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, GNC, Dunkin’, American Greetings, Friendly’s Ice Cream, Forever 21, Bath and Body Works, Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, Jiffy Lube International, and many others.

He has helped many franchise, retail and food service brands deter franchise sales underreporting, improve brand compliance, and reduce inventory shrinkage and other losses suffered by retailers and restaurant chains.

Mike is a globally recognized speaker and advisor to global brand Executives. He is the past President of MSPA- Americas, and sat on the MSPA Global Board of Directors. Mike has been a member of the National Restaurant Association’s Internal Audit and Loss Prevention Executive Study Groups, where he has served as past chairman of both groups, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Food Service Security Council (RLPSA), where he is a past Board Member.

Mike has appeared in Forbes Magazine, Nations Restaurant News, QSR Magazine, NBC Nightly News, ABC News Online, CNBC, and Money with Melissa Francis on the Fox Business channel.

Since 2014, Mr. Mershimer has been an active member of the MSPA Americas, professional mystery shopping association. He has served as president and member of the board of directors for years.

Mike’s specialties are numerous including franchise underreporting, loss prevention, brand compliance, audit, field team resourcing, security, outsourcing, expert testimony and franchisee fraud.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from PennWest in Edinboro.
