Confero learned about an email scam regarding “David Grant” whose email address is atiek_r@garuda-indonesia.com  The email attempts to recruit secret shoppers and promises a $250 fee for one visit.  The scam asks for the person to reply by email and complete the form.  Please do not provide information or fall for this scam!

Confero learned about a LinkedIn scam regarding "Sam Adeson" who claims to work for Confero.  We have no employee named Sam Adeson.  The fraudster’s email was sent through LinkedIn, and he uses an email address of sam.adeson@yahoo.com

Confero received notification of a fake email scam today, from someone, “Oliver” claiming to work for Confero. The email was fromoliver@conferoinc.net.  We have no employee named Oliver, and our email addresses are conferoinc.com not conferoinc.net.    The scam asks for the person to send his/her mailing address.  Please do not fall for these false requests.

WE DO NOT HAVE AN EMPLOYEE OR WORK WITH A CONTRACTOR NAMED Oliver!

A scam was uncovered recently which offers a fake mystery shop assignment and delivery of a fraudulent check as “payment” before the shop.  The communication encourages the recipient to cash or deposit a fraudulent cashier’s check at their own bank before completing a shop assignment at a drug store.
