Confero received information today on a scammer who is using the Confero name to try to trick consumers. The scammer added a false post through Facebook. This person claims to be an employee of Confero named Filip Horvath. We have no such employee at Confero. The post says that there are open job positions in Guam.
Here is what the fraudster posted:
Hafa ADA!! Guamanians.
Confero Inc. is currently hiring in Guam. We are looking for a few men and women to join our team. 6 days a week (weekends off). Positions available are:
Data entry. The post goes on to mention customer service operator, telephone data collector and customer support executive positions.
The person falsely claims to be associated with Confero and all information in the FB post is false.
Please be aware of this scam and other scams:
- Confero’s Facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/Confero/
- Emails from Confero employees will come from conferoinc.com.
- Please do not click on a link to provide your credit card information or provide any personal information to a person who claims to be with Confero. Please do not text them. Do not provide your social security number or ID information.
- Confero NEVER asks for a credit card payment from the shopper prior to assigning them to a shop. Registering as a contractor with Confero is at no cost and there is no obligation to take on any assignment. Payments are issued after successful completion of the mystery shop.
