As 2010 came to a close, Elaine Buxton completed her term as President of the Mystery Shopping Providers’ Association (MSPA), North America. Elaine has been involved with MSPA since its beginning in 1998. Confero was a charter member of the organization.
During 2010, the MSPA established a Member Community Center portal to allow greater members-only communication for sharing best practices, concerns and industry issues. An online community for members and MSPA certified mystery shoppers was launched to enhance communications between the two groups. Efforts to identify and fight scams targeting the industry were redoubled, resulting in new or better relationships with the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau and other organizations working to shut down scams. Mostly, Elaine will tell you that she worked to revitalize the member engagement and volunteer efforts to ensure the association’s continued increasing success. A conference in Chicago last fall capped off a successful year.
During 2011, Elaine will continue her active involvement with MSPA by serving as Treasurer of the MSPA Global Board of Directors and as MSPA North America's representative to the MSPA Global Board.
